Our foundry is over in Anakapalle, in the Viskhapatnam area. We are a private company that focuses on alloy castings. It is a tough environment to work in because of the heat from the furnaces. We melt down metal and pour it into molds to create parts for various industries. It is a very hands-on process and everyone here has to be careful and know exactly what they are doing. The air in the plant has that distinct smell of hot iron and sand. We don't have a polished office with fancy furniture. Most of our space is taken up by the casting floor and the storage for the raw materials. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy molds and cleaning up the castings once they have cooled down. We’ve been operating in this part of Vizag for quite a while now. We aren't a giant corporation, just a local business with a crew of people who have been doing this for years. We focus on the technical side of the metal mixes and making sure the final product is solid without any holes or cracks. It can be a long day, especially in the summer months when the heat is even more intense. We just keep our heads down and focus on meeting the production schedule for our clients. It is honest, hard work that keeps the factory running.
