New Mirror Men & Women Beauty Parlour & Saloon

We are located on the second floor of Dutt Island in Siripuram. It is a busy part of Visakhapatnam, and being on the second floor means you have to walk up or take the lift, which is sometimes a bit temperamental. The shop is called New Mirror Men & Women Beauty Parlour & Saloon. We have been here for a good number of years now. It’s not a very big space, but we have separate sections for men and women. The chairs are old and have some tape on the arms, but they are comfortable enough for a long haircut. The mirrors are large and show everything. We get a lot of students from the nearby colleges and families who live in the apartments around here. The humidity in Vizag makes everyone's hair frizzy, so we do a lot of straightening and oil massages. My staff and I just show up every morning, sweep the floor, and wait for the first customer. Sometimes we sit and have tea from the stall downstairs while waiting. There is no fancy music, just a small radio playing the local FM station. We don't really do appointments; people just walk in and wait their turn on the plastic chairs by the door. It’s a simple life and we like the people who come in. Siripuram is always noisy, but inside the shop, it feels a bit quieter.
