Navya The Saloon

Navya The Saloon is on Simhachalam Road in the Prahladapuram neighborhood of Visakhapatnam. We are right across the street from the Apollo Pharmacy. It is a busy spot because of the pharmacy and the other small shops nearby that attract a lot of people. The road can get quite dusty, especially when there is a breeze coming from the hills, so we keep the doors shut as much as possible. Inside, the setup is basic but functional for hair cutting and styling. We have a few chairs that have been with us for a while. The lighting is good enough for us to see the details of our work. Many of our customers are locals who are heading home towards Simhachalam after their workday. The shop is usually calm, with a small TV in the corner playing the news or some old movie. We do not use any high-tech equipment. We mostly rely on our hands, a good pair of scissors, and the usual hair products. The walls have a simple coat of paint and some pictures of hair styles for people to look at. We have gotten to know many of the regulars who live in the apartment blocks around Prahladapuram. They come in every few weeks, and it is nice to see familiar faces. It is just a neighborhood place where you can get a haircut without any stress or paying too much. We finish up every evening and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
