Murthy General Store

Murthy General Store is situated on the Main Road in Allipuram, Visakhapatnam. Our address is house number 33-14-124, right in the heart of the 530016 area. Being on the Main Road means we see a lot of traffic and people passing by all the time. It’s a general store where we keep a variety of things like snacks, cold drinks, and basic groceries. Vizag is a coastal city, and it can get quite humid, so we always make sure we have plenty of drinking water and cool drinks in the fridge. The shop is simple and doesn't have any air conditioning or fancy decorations. It's just a place where you can walk in, grab what you need, and be on your way. We handle everything ourselves, from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. There isn't much room to walk around inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible on the shelves. Sometimes the trucks on the Main Road make it hard to hear what customers are saying, but we've gotten used to the noise over the years. We know the local families and the people who work in the nearby offices. They stop by for a packet of cigarettes or some biscuits during their break. We just keep things moving and try to stay stocked up on the things people buy the most.
