Murali Hair Cutting Saloon

Murali Hair Cutting Saloon is my small shop on Kanithi Road in Gajuwaka. I’m located right near the turning for Chaitanya College. It’s a good spot because a lot of students and workers pass by every single day. I’ve been cutting hair in Visakhapatnam for a long time now. The shop is simple. I have my mirrors, my chairs, and my scissors. I don't need much else to do my job. Most of the men around here come to me for their regular haircuts or a shave. We talk about the news or the weather while I work. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when three or four people are waiting, so they just stand outside on the pavement and chat. I keep a stack of old newspapers for people to read, though most just look at their phones now. I try to keep the place clean, but hair gets everywhere no matter how much I sweep. It’s a straightforward business. I open early in the morning and stay until the last customer is done in the evening. There are no fancy treatments here, just basic hair cutting and shaving. I know most of my customers by name because they have been coming to me for years. It’s a steady life and I like being my own boss on Kanithi Road. If you need a trim, you can usually find me here. I just keep the door open and wait for the next person to walk in.
