Manipal Health Systems

We are based at Jagadamba Junction, right in the heart of Visakhapatnam. This is where the purchase and stores department for Manipal Health Systems is located. Ramakrishna P is the one in charge of the senior executive duties here. If you know Jagadamba Junction, you know it’s one of the busiest places in the city. There’s always traffic and people everywhere. Our office is tucked away, filled with boxes and stacks of paperwork. We deal with all the supplies the hospital needs. It’s not a glamorous job. We spend a lot of time counting inventory and talking to suppliers on the phone. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the junction traffic, which makes our day a bit long. We don't have time for polished corporate meetings. We just need to make sure the bandages, medicines, and equipment are where they need to be. It’s a lot of responsibility because the doctors need these things. We work in a small, cramped space but we make it work. The air is a bit dusty from all the boxes, but that’s just how a storeroom is. We just focus on the lists and the orders. It’s a practical, everyday sort of job that keeps the health system running. We’ve been at this junction for years and we know all the local tea vendors nearby.
