Mahduri Beauty Parlour

Mahduri Beauty Parlour is located out in Anakapalle. We are on Chodavaram Road, near the Woodpeta area. It is a bit of a distance from the main city, but this is where our regulars are. I started this place in Dr No: because I wanted to work for myself and be my own boss. We do the usual things like facials, hair coloring, and bridal work when someone asks. The shop is small and it can get hot in the afternoons, but the neighborhood is friendly. Most days we just chat with the ladies who come in while we work. It is not a fancy salon with leather chairs. We have plastic ones and old mirrors that have been here since we opened. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use hand fans, but nobody seems to mind much. We just keep talking. We have been at this spot for a long time now. People know to look for us near Woodpeta. We do not have a big sign outside, just the name on the door. It is enough for the local people to find us. I do most of the work myself, though I have someone helping me on busy days like Sundays. It gets a bit messy with hair on the floor, but we sweep it up when we get a chance.
