Maharajah Institute Of Medical Sciences

If you head out to Jarajapupeta village in the Nellimarla area, you’ll find the Maharajah Institute Of Medical Sciences. It’s quite a large place compared to the small houses around it in the Vizianagaram district. We have been here for years, and the campus has grown quite a bit over time. There are always students walking around in their white coats, looking a bit tired from their long shifts or classes. The building has that typical institutional look, with long hallways and plenty of windows to let the Andhra Pradesh sun in. It gets very busy in the mornings when patients start arriving from all over the mandal. We have people coming in from various small villages nearby. It’s a bit of a hub for this part of the state. The staff here mostly lives close by or in Vizianagaram town. You’ll often see people sitting under the trees during lunch breaks, trying to catch a bit of shade. It’s not like those high-tech private hospitals in the big cities. It’s a practical place where people come to learn and others come because they have to. The walls are painted a plain color, and there’s always the smell of cleaning supplies in the air. We don't have much in the way of fancy decorations. It’s just a place of work and study for everyone involved in the medical field here in Jarajapupeta. It keeps us all very busy every single day.
