Looks Shankar Hair Cutting Salon is tucked away on Ramalakshmi Apartment Road in the MVP Colony area of Visakhapatnam. We are right at Ushodaya Junction, which is a place most people in this part of Vizag know well. Being beside United Health Care means there are always people walking past the shop. I’ve been cutting hair for a long time now. It’s what I know how to do best. The shop has a few mirrors and the chairs are older but comfortable. MVP Colony is a nice place to have a business because it feels like a little town inside the city. You see the same faces every week. I usually have the radio playing some Telugu songs in the background while I work. It’s not a fancy salon with air conditioning that freezes you out, just a regular place with some fans and good lighting. I spend a lot of time cleaning my clippers and making sure the capes are washed. People come here because they know what to expect. There are no surprises with the prices or the way we cut hair. We just do a standard job. The 530017 area has been my home for a while, and I like being the local barber everyone recognizes. It’s a straightforward way to make a living and I don't plan on changing much about how I run things. I usually go for a walk by the beach after work to clear my head.
