K.K.Salon

Our shop, K.K.Salon, is situated on Eenadu Road in the Seethammadhara area. It is a pretty well-known part of Visakhapatnam, especially since we are quite close to Satyam Junction. Being near such a busy junction means there is always a lot of noise and activity outside our windows. We have grown used to it over the years. The salon is a straightforward place. We didn't want anything too complicated. There are a couple of chairs for cutting hair and a small area for washing up. We keep our scissors sharp and our towels clean, which is what really matters at the end of the day. A lot of the college students from nearby come here because they want something quick and affordable. Then we have the older gentlemen who have been living in Seethammadhara for decades. They usually want the same style they’ve had since the eighties. We listen to their stories while we work. It makes the day go by faster. The lighting in here isn't the best, but we've got a few extra lamps to help us see the details. Sometimes we run out of magazines for the waiting area, but most people just look at their phones anyway. We open early and stay open until the streetlights come on. It’s a busy life on Eenadu Road, but we are happy to be a part of it. We just keep our heads down and focus on the next haircut.
