Kesav The Saloon

Kesav The Saloon is located on the Main Road in the Pendurty area of Visakhapatnam, specifically on the Brts Road. We are directly opposite the Government Hospital, which means there are always people around. Many of our customers are folks visiting the hospital or workers from the nearby shops. The saloon has a simple blue door and some old-fashioned chairs inside. We use standard combs, clippers, and scissors that we’ve had for a long time. The walls have a few mirrors that are a bit spotted with age. We don't have any fancy music playing, just the sound of the ceiling fan and the traffic from Brts Road. Sometimes we have to wait for the water tanker to come so we have enough for washing hair. The floor is made of cement and we try to keep it clean, but it's hard with so many people coming in. We open early in the morning before the sun gets too hot. There is a small plastic bench outside for people to sit if the shop is full. We know most of the people in Pendurty by name because they have been coming here for years. It isn't a glamorous job, but it’s what we do every day from morning till night. We just provide a place for a decent haircut without any extra talk or expensive prices. It's a regular life for us and we like being right on the main road.
