Karuna Rice & General Stores

We have been running Karuna Rice & General Stores for quite some time now on Kanthi Road. If you are familiar with the Gajuwaka area, you probably know where the old municipal office used to be, and we are situated right opposite that spot. It is a busy part of town but we enjoy being in the thick of it. My family started this business because we wanted to provide a place where people could get their basic kitchen needs without any fuss. We specialize in different varieties of rice because we know everyone has their own preference for their daily meals. Some people like the long grains for special occasions, while others just want something sturdy and affordable for every day. Besides the rice, we keep a good stock of general items like spices, oils, and other household essentials. The shop isn't anything fancy with bright neon signs or glass sliding doors. It is just a regular local store with wooden shelves and bags of grain stacked up. In the mornings, it gets a bit hectic with everyone trying to finish their shopping before the sun gets too hot. We try our best to keep things moving quickly, even if the space gets a bit cramped when a new delivery arrives. We know most of our customers by their first names and we have seen many families in Visakhapatnam grow over the years. It is simple work but it keeps us busy from morning till night.
