Jolly Day

You can find Jolly Day over in Dwaraka Nagar, right on the main road in the Datapro Lane area. The address is 47-9-26, and we’ve been here for quite some time now. It’s a handy location because so many people pass by on their way to work or classes. Our office isn’t anything out of the ordinary, just a front desk and some files where we keep our travel documents. We handle a lot of local trips and some longer journeys too, depending on what people are looking for. Most of our day is spent on the phone or typing away at the computer to get tickets issued. We don’t do much fancy talking; we just listen to where someone needs to go and try to find a way to get them there. The lane gets a bit cramped with bikes and cars during the day, but it’s part of the charm of working in this part of Vizag. We see all sorts of people coming in, from students looking for cheap bus tickets to families planning a bigger trip. We treat everyone the same and just focus on the task at hand. It’s a steady job and we like the people we meet. There isn't a big philosophy behind it; we just open the doors in the morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. It feels good when a trip goes off without a hitch and someone comes back to tell us they had a nice time.
