Our Hsbc office is down at 121 Gorkha Lane, right off Station Road in Visakhapatnam. Being near the station means there is always something going on. You can hear the trains sometimes if you listen closely. It is a busy part of the city, and we are right in the middle of it. The building we are in is nothing special to look at. It has a heavy metal gate that we have to rattle a bit to open in the morning. Inside, it’s just a plain room with some partitions we put up ourselves to create a bit of privacy. We aren’t big on decorations. We have a few maps on the walls and some old folders that have been there since we moved in. The humidity in Vizag can be tough on the paper, so we try to keep things in plastic bins. We don't have any corporate slogans or fancy uniforms. We just wear what is comfortable and get to work. Most of our day involves sorting through files and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s a small operation, and we like it that way. You get to know the people you work with really well when you’re in a small space like this. We don’t claim to be the biggest or anything like that. We are just here on Gorkha Lane, doing our bit every day.
