Hotel Pal Rest House, Gaya

Our place is actually located over at 403, Shri Sai Kasi Mansion in China Waltier, even if the name mentions Gaya. It is a bit of a mix-up for some, but this is where we are in Visakhapatnam. The building is fairly tall and we have rooms for people who need a place to stay while they are traveling for work or visiting family. The area around China Waltier is usually humming with some activity. We spend our mornings checking the linens and making sure the water is running right in all the bathrooms. It is not a fancy five-star place with gold curtains or anything like that. It is just a simple rest house where you can put your bags down and sleep. The staff here mostly stays busy with the register and answering the phone when people call to ask about the rates. Sometimes the lift takes a second to arrive, but it works. We try to keep the lobby tidy, though some days are harder than others when it rains outside. You can see the street from the windows and it is nice to watch the city go by in the evenings. We do not have a big restaurant, but there are plenty of spots to eat just a short walk away. Mostly, we are just here to give people a key and a clean bed so they can get on with their day. It is a straightforward setup for travelers.
