Hello The Saloon

You can find Hello The Saloon over in Murali Nagar. We are at 39-8-8/2 in the Varma Complex. It’s a pretty easy spot to spot because we’re near the 48A Bus Stop. A lot of people get off the bus and come straight to us. I’ve been in Visakhapatnam for a long time and I liked the idea of having a shop in 530007. The name is just something simple I thought of. It’s just a hair salon for people living nearby. We aren’t trying to be like those big malls. We just have our chairs, our tools, and some old magazines for people to look at while they wait. The Varma Complex has other shops too, so it’s always busy with people running errands. I do most of the cutting myself. I’ve got a couple of guys who help out when it’s the weekend. We do regular haircuts and shaves for the men around here. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans on high. Sometimes the 48A bus is late and people wait in the shop until it comes. I don’t mind that at all. It’s a local place and everyone is welcome. We don’t have a big sign or anything, just the one on the door. It’s been a good few years at this location. We just keep doing what we know how to do, one haircut at a time for anyone who walks in.
