Green Room Salon

Green Room Salon is situated right in the middle of the bustle at Kurupam Market on the Main Road. Since we are so close to the Visakhapatnam Bus Station, we see a lot of people coming and going all the time. Some are travelers who just got off a bus and need to look decent, while others are locals who have been coming to this market for years. The shop isn't very large but we make the most of the space we have. We have the usual setup with mirrors, chairs, and a small counter for our tools. The noise from the market and the bus station is constant, so you always hear horns and people shouting outside. It’s a busy atmosphere. We chose the name because it felt right, though the walls aren't actually green. We have some shelves where we keep the combs and the trimmers. There is a small bench for people to sit on while they wait, and usually some old newspapers lying around to read. We start early in the morning before the market gets too crowded. The floor is made of old stone and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. We don’t do anything complicated here. We just offer basic cuts and shaves for whoever walks in. The water in the tap is sometimes cold, but nobody seems to mind much. It’s just a normal shop in a very busy part of the city.
