Ganesh The Saloon

I opened Ganesh The Saloon in BC Colony, Vepagunta, because I saw there weren't many places around here. We are right opposite Ravi Wines, which most people use as a landmark when they are looking for us. Visakhapatnam is a very humid place, so I always make sure the ceiling fans are running at full speed. The shop itself is quite basic. I have the standard barber chairs and a large mirror that I've had since the beginning. I mostly do haircuts and shaves for the men who live in the colony. I also get a lot of school kids whose parents want them to look neat. I usually keep a small radio on the shelf playing some old Telugu songs or just the daily news. It’s a pretty quiet life for the most part. I open up in the morning and I'm usually here until the sun goes down. Sometimes my friends from the colony stop by just to sit and talk for a while even if they don't need a haircut. The floor tiles are getting a bit old and the walls could probably use some new paint, but the shop works fine for what we need. People like that they can just walk in and get their hair done without a fuss. It's a simple local business.
