Dataentry Operator

The work happens over in Gajuwaka at D.No.30-51-8 in the Vadalapudi area. It’s a busy part of Visakhapatnam, mostly because of all the industry around here. Being a data entry operator means spending a lot of hours in front of a monitor, typing away and making sure all the entries are accurate. It’s not the most glamorous job in the world, but it’s what we do. The office at 30-51-8 is a simple room with enough space for the computers and some chairs. We don't have a big corporate lobby or a fancy sign. Most of the time, the only sound you hear is the clicking of keyboards and maybe the traffic outside on the main road. Gajuwaka is always loud and there’s a lot of dust from the factories, so we keep the windows shut and just focus on the screen. We don't have a mission statement or a bunch of goals written on the wall. We just have a pile of data that needs to be entered into the system before the day is over. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of the routine here. It’s a straightforward life. We come in, we do the typing, we check our work, and then we head home. It is just a local business in a working-class neighborhood, and we are fine with that.
