Customer Care Executive

This is where T. Vijay works, at Door Number 14-1-94 in Nehru Nagar. We are located in Kasibugga, which is part of the Palasa area in Srikakulam district. It’s way up in the northern part of Andhra Pradesh. The office is basically a room in a residential house that we’ve set up for work. We handle customer care duties from here. It’s not a big call center with hundreds of people; it’s just a small, local operation. We spend the day answering queries and helping people out with their problems. Nehru Nagar is a quiet neighborhood, so we don't have to deal with much outside noise. The pace of life in Palasa is pretty slow compared to the big cities. We don't have any fancy titles or a corporate hierarchy. It’s just a matter of doing the work that needs to be done. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and everyone around here knows us. We don't use any professional marketing language because we are just regular people. The work is mostly about being patient and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for it to come back, but we manage. It’s a simple life and a simple job. We just focus on getting through the tasks one by one and making sure we do a decent job for the people we assist.
