Chanti Brothers Kirana & General

Chanti Brothers Kirana & General has been a part of Akkayyapalem for quite some time now. We are located at Door No 45-40-18/2, right near the Jaggarao Bridge in Visakhapatnam. The shop is run by us brothers, and we’ve spent many years working side by side in this small space. It’s a typical neighborhood store where the shelves are packed with everything from pulses and oils to biscuits and cleaning supplies. Since we’re near the bridge, there’s always a bit of a breeze, but the traffic noise is constant. We start our day early, getting the fresh stock in and making sure everything is where it should be. The neighbors know they can just drop in for a quick item they forgot during their main shopping trip. We don't have any fancy displays; we just use every bit of wall space we have to keep the goods organized. Sometimes we’re just sitting out front on a bench when it’s quiet, watching the scooters go by. Then it gets busy all at once, and we’re both behind the counter weighing things out and tying up plastic bags. It’s a honest way to make a living, and we enjoy being the place where people stop to catch up on the local gossip while they pay for their groceries. We keep it simple and just focus on keeping the shop running day in and day out.
