About Chairman, Visakhapatnam Port Trust, Visakhapatnam – Tourism in Visakhapatnam
Our office is tucked away in Flat 202 of the Vinayagar Residency, over in the Cbm Compound here in Visakhapatnam. It’s a bit of a residential feel for an office, but it works for what we do. This is the spot for the Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Port Trust. Usually, there’s a lot of paper moving across desks and people coming in for meetings about the harbor and the ships. The port is a big part of life in Vizag, and keeping things organized from this office on D.No. 9-25-23/7 is what we spend our time on. It’s not a flashy place. We have stacks of reports, maps of the docks, and plenty of pens that always seem to go missing. Dealing with maritime stuff means there is always something going on, even if we are a few blocks away from the water. We don’t really do much in the way of advertising because everyone knows the port is there. We’re just here to handle the administrative side of things. Sometimes the elevators in the residency are slow, or it gets a bit noisy in the compound, but we get our work done regardless. It’s a lot of coordinating between different departments and making sure the schedules are followed. We aren't here to make big promises, just to keep the files in order and make sure the port business stays on track from our small corner of the city. It's a lot of meetings and stamps.
