Boys The Salon

We started Boys The Salon here in Ashok Nagar because we noticed there weren't many places for a quick cut near the colleges. We are situated right in the Asilmetta area of Visakhapatnam, almost exactly opposite Chithanya College. It’s a handy location for the students who want to look sharp before their exams or events. The shop is small and can get a bit crowded during the lunch hour when everyone has a break. We have a few chairs and they are usually full. The floor is mostly covered in hair because we are constantly working, but we sweep it up as often as we can. It’s a no-frills kind of place. We don’t have fancy coffee or a waiting lounge with magazines. People usually just stand around or sit on the plastic chairs we have out front. The noise from the traffic on the main road is always there, but you get used to it after a few minutes. We mostly do standard cuts and some basic styling that the younger crowd likes. The guys working here are good with their hands and don't talk too much if you just want to sit in silence. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers all know us. If you’re looking for a place that is easy on the pocket and gets the job done, we are right here across from the college. Nothing fancy, just a regular salon for the local neighborhood boys.
