Avenue Hair & Beauty Unisex Salon

Being on the first floor of Haritha Arcade means we get a good view of Waltair Main Road. I often look out the window and see people going into the Lions Club across the street. Ram Nagar is a crowded area in Visakhapatnam, so finding our door at 10-50-54 is what most people do. The stairs can be a bit steep if you are carrying bags. We have been here for a bit and the walls have a few scuffs from the chairs bumping into them. It is a unisex salon, so the crowd is always mixed. Sometimes it is a student and sometimes it is an older person from the neighborhood. I make sure the capes are washed and the spray bottles are full of water. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast when it is busy, so we are always sweeping. We don't have any of those big fancy signs inside, just the tools we need to work. The air conditioner hums quite a bit during the afternoon heat. I like the light in this building because it comes in through the big front windows. It is a practical setup with enough room to move around without hitting the next person. Mostly we just focus on the task at hand. When the shop is quiet, I sit by the window and watch the cars go by on the main road. It is just a steady life here in the arcade.
