Asst Prof

I'm based over at Door No: 1-5-103 in Akkireddypalem. It’s a quiet part of Visakhapatnam, near the home of V. Surya Rao. Being an assistant professor in a place like Vizag is interesting because you have the sea nearby but you’re still tucked away in these little residential pockets. My workspace is pretty basic. I have a lot of books, a laptop, and some old files that have been around for years. I don't really have a big office building or a corporate setup. It’s more of a personal space where I can focus on my lectures and helping my students. The weather can get quite humid here, so I usually have a fan running all day while I work. People in Akkireddypalem are friendly and it’s the kind of place where everyone knows your name. I don't feel the need to act like a big shot or have a polished image. I’m just a teacher doing my job from a small house in a coastal city. Sometimes I take my work down to the shore just to get a change of scenery. The day-to-day is mostly reading, writing, and sometimes meeting with students who live nearby. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living. No fancy mission statements are needed when you’re just trying to pass on some knowledge to the next group of kids who want to learn something new.
