Gim Student'S Placement Committee

We are based at Ghandhi Place, mostly working out of a room that is always a bit cluttered with resumes and flyers. Being part of the placement committee at GIM means we spend a lot of time on our phones or typing away at laptops that have seen better days. It is a student-run thing, so we are all learning as we go. There are usually posters half-peeled off the walls and boxes of leftover brochures from the last company visit sitting in the corner. We don't have fancy office chairs, just the standard ones from the classrooms. It gets really loud during the peak season when everyone is worried about their interviews and looking for a spot to practice their introductions. We try to keep track of all the companies coming in on a big whiteboard that usually has some stains on it. Ghandhi Place is a central part of the campus, so there’s always people walking past and sticking their heads in to ask questions. We aren’t professionals, just a group of students trying to coordinate between the firms and our classmates. Sometimes we forget to order enough water for the guests or the printer jams right when we need it, but we figure it out eventually. It is a lot of work on top of our classes, but we just keep at it because it’s what needs to be done for the batch.
