Ashapura Kirana & General Stores

We are located at Door No24-81-15/6 in the Gajuwaka area of Visakhapatnam. You can find us near the Indian Gas Gowodon, which is a big landmark around here. Gajuwaka is a very industrial part of town, so there are always trucks moving around and a lot of workers passing by our shop. We sell the usual kirana items that people need for their daily cooking, like spices, pulses, and large bags of rice. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high to make sure we have everything in stock. Sometimes the smell of the gas from the godown nearby is quite strong depending on which way the wind is blowing. We spend our time mostly behind the counter, weighing out sugar or flour for the housewives who live in the nearby streets. It can get a bit noisy with all the traffic, but we are used to the sound of the horns and the engines by now. The floor is concrete and we keep it swept, though the dust from the road is a never-ending battle. We don't have a website or anything like that; people just know we are here and stop by when they run out of tea powder or matches. It's a straightforward life, just making sure the shelves are full and the change is ready in the drawer.
