Arle Cashew Private Limited

Our company, Arle Cashew Private Limited, is based at a place called Sweet Home in Isukathota. The address is 54-11-16/1/1. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but it’s where we are every day. Isukathota is a part of town that has its own character. We handle cashews, which means there’s a lot of sorting and checking going on. We don’t have a big glass building. Instead, we work out of this spot which feels more like a home than a cold office. It’s a bit cluttered with bags and boxes sometimes, but that’s just the nature of the business. We don’t have a lot of fancy titles or corporate rules. Everyone just pitches in where they are needed. Sometimes we sit around a table and just talk through what needs to get done for the week. It’s a very informal way of doing things. The weather here can get pretty sticky, so we try to get the heavy work done early. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to do our work properly and keep things moving. It’s a steady life and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the cashew seasons. People know us in the neighborhood, and we like it that way.
