Anjanadevi Spices

Our shop, Anjanadevi Spices, is over on 6th Street in Marripalem, specifically at Plot No. 117. It's a regular street with houses and other small businesses around. We’ve been operating from here for some time now. Dealing with spices is a messy business, but we enjoy it. Most of our days are spent checking the stuff that comes in and then getting it ready for the local customers. We don't have a big sign or any bright lights. It's just a door on 6th Street. Inside, it's mostly storage and a few tables where we do the packing. Marripalem is a good area to be in, and we know many of the people who walk by every day. Sometimes we sit outside for a bit when it's not too hot. We don't have a fancy story about how we started; we just needed a way to make a living and we knew about spices. It’s hard work, especially when you have to carry heavy bags in the heat, but we don't complain. We just keep the place running as best as we can. We don't really use much technology either, just the basics to keep track of things. It’s a simple, local operation and we plan on staying right here on 6th Street for as long as we can. There are always sacks to be moved and floors to be swept, but it’s a living and we are happy enough with how things go.
