Additional Programme Officer

This is the office for the Additional Programme Officer, located on Munsif Street in S.Kota. The person in charge is M. Umamaheswara Naidu, who is the son of Surykanarayana. We are based in the Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh. It is a government-style setup, so things move in a certain way here. The office is right there on the street, easy to find if you are a local. We deal with various programmes and paperwork that come through the district. It is a lot of forms and signatures. The building is simple, nothing too modern, just a place for work to happen. People from the surrounding villages often come by with questions or to submit their documents. We try to help them out as best as we can. S.Kota is a small town, so everyone kind of knows where Munsif Street is. There are files everywhere, stacked up on shelves and desks. It’s not a quiet place, as there is always someone talking or a motorcycle passing by outside. We follow the official procedures day after day. It is just a regular job for us, making sure the records are kept right and the programmes are moving along. The heat can be tough in the afternoons, but we have the ceiling fans going. It is just the way things are done in this part of the state. We just keep up with the daily administration.
