Sri Ramalingam Sewing Machine Company

Our shop is right on Tenkasi Road in Rajapalayam, directly across from the government hospital. It is a good spot because everyone knows where the hospital is. We have been working with sewing machines here for a very long time now. Usually, the place is full of machines being repaired or new ones waiting for a home. There is always the smell of machine oil in the air inside the shop. We have parts scattered around the workbenches and it can look a bit messy to an outsider. But we know where everything is kept. People bring in their old machines that have stopped working, and we do our best to get them running again. It is quiet work, mostly just the sound of metal clicking or a motor humming. We also sell a few models to locals who want to start sewing at home. We are not a big showroom with bright lights and fancy signs. It is just a regular shop with a lot of history. Sometimes we sit out front on stools when the weather is nice. The traffic on Tenkasi Road can get loud with the buses going by, but we do not mind. We have lived in Rajapalayam all our lives. It is a simple business and we like helping the neighbors keep their clothes mended and their machines working. It is what we do and we have been doing it for years without making too much noise about it.
