The Peninsular Export Company

You can find us at 1 Patel Road. It is a good address to have because everyone knows where it is. The Peninsular Export Company has been around this corner for quite some time now. The building is old and has its quirks, like the door that sticks in the rain. We mostly deal with the logistics of moving goods out. It is a lot of back-and-forth with the shipping agents and trying to make sure the timing is right. We have a small desk near the front window where we watch the traffic go by. It is never really quiet on this road, but you get used to the noise after a while. We do not have any fancy marketing people or a big sales floor. It is just us and the inventory. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to sit and wait it out, which is a good excuse for a break. We have seen a lot of businesses come and go on Patel Road, but we are still here. It is hard work, especially during the busy months, but it feels good to get things done. We usually have a mountain of files to go through by the end of the week. There is no secret to it, we just show up and do the job as best we can. There is a stray dog that hangs around the entrance, and we have started leaving out some water for him. He is basically our unofficial security guard now.
