Devaguru Exports

Devaguru Exports is based out of 74 Alamelu Bhavanam in V. T. P. Nagar. We are right here in Kariapatti, which is a quiet place most of the time. Our office is part of a building that has been around for a long time. You can see the wear on the walls, but it has character. I handle most of the exporting work myself, with a little help from a neighbor who comes in part-time. We do not have a lot of fancy equipment. Just a phone, a printer that jams occasionally, and a lot of logbooks. I prefer writing things down by hand anyway; it feels more real. We send things out to different countries, mostly stuff that is produced locally around Kariapatti. It is interesting to think about where our packages end up. I have been doing this for several years now, and I’ve learned that things rarely go exactly as planned. You have to be ready for anything. Maybe a truck breaks down or a form gets rejected. You just deal with it and move on to the next task. V. T. P. Nagar is a good community. People look out for each other. Sometimes clients come by just to sit and have a coffee and talk about the market. We do not have a receptionist, so if I am in the back, you might have to shout to get my attention. It is a simple way to run a business, but it works for us and keeps us busy.
