Our shop is located at 3152C on Karuppusamy Street in Virudhunagar. It’s not a very big place, but we manage to fit a lot into the space we have. We started this because we wanted to have a spot where people could find the kind of stuff they used to get years ago, like whole grains and less processed items. We don't have any corporate backing or anything like that; it’s just a few of us running the day-to-day things. The shelves are mostly filled with things like millets, local honey, and oils that aren't full of chemicals. It can get a bit quiet on this street sometimes, which gives us time to talk to the farmers who bring us their goods. We like knowing where the food comes from. The shop isn't fancy at all. The paint on the walls is a bit old, and the wooden counters have some scratches, but it feels like home to us. We don't spend money on marketing or posters. Usually, people just find out about us from their neighbors. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a batch of something doesn't look right, we just don't put it out on the shelf. Sometimes we run out of certain items because we depend on what’s available locally, and we just have to wait for the next lot to come in. It’s a slow process, but that is just how we like to do things here.
