Our spot is at D.No.18 A on Chairman A.R.Arunachalam Road in Sivakasi. It’s an industrial kind of area, so there’s always the sound of machinery or trucks nearby. We handle cement and minerals here. The building isn't much to look at, just a practical place to run a business. We have a big yard where the materials get stored before they go out. The dust from the minerals tends to get into everything, so we’ve given up on keeping the desks perfectly clean. We have a small crew and we’ve all been working together for a while. Usually, we start the day by checking the logs and seeing what came in overnight. Sivakasi is hot, so the morning hours are when we get the most done. By midday, everyone is looking for shade. We talk to a lot of people from all over Virudhunagar who need bulk supplies. The paperwork can be a bit of a headache, especially when the orders get complicated. We have an old ledger we still use for some things because it's easier than the software. Sometimes we have to deal with rain coming into the storage area, which means moving everything quickly. It’s a lot of physical work and staying on top of the inventory. We just show up every morning and get to it without making much of a fuss. The road outside gets pretty busy with carts and bikes in the late evening.
