Vetrivel Bricks

Our brickyard is located at 77/2 on Desurepattai Road, very close to the bus stand. It’s a convenient location because the buses are always bringing people into town. You can hear the conductors shouting and the engines idling from our yard all through the day. We are a family-run place and have been making bricks here for a long time now. It’s a traditional setup where we do a lot of the work by hand. The yard is usually quite busy with workers molding the clay or moving the finished bricks to the kiln. We have to keep a close eye on the weather because a sudden rain can ruin a whole batch of drying bricks. It’s a bit of a gamble sometimes, but that’s the nature of the brick business. We don't have a polished office; we just have a small desk where we keep our ledgers and talk to customers. The ground is always covered in red dust and the work is very physical and tiring. People from the nearby villages often stop by when they are in town for the market. We don’t do any fancy advertising; we just rely on people knowing where we are. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We just try to make bricks that will last and treat people fairly. It’s a small, honest operation in the middle of town that serves the local building needs.
