Auro Monish Exports

Started the day here at No. 58 on the Auroville Main Road. It’s usually busy out there by the road, plenty of people moving toward Puducherry or coming back from the post office at Kottakuppam. We’ve been Auro Monish Exports for a while now. Most days are just about managing what comes in and what needs to go out. The building is right near Periya Mudaliyar Chavady, and if you know this part of Vanur T. K., you know how the traffic gets in the afternoons. It isn't a fancy setup, just a practical place where we get the work done. Sometimes the humidity is a bit much, but we keep the fans going. It’s funny how you get used to the sounds of the main road after a few months. You don't even hear the horns anymore. We just focus on the logs and the shipping details. There are always stacks of folders and the printer is usually making some kind of noise. We spend a lot of time just making sure the labels match the boxes. People ask why we stayed here instead of moving further into the city, but being near Puducherry works for us. It feels right being at this spot. We keep things simple. There’s no big lobby or anything like that, just our desks and the space we need for the exports. It is what it is, a local spot doing its thing day in and day out. That’s pretty much us.
