Sree Venkateswara & Co.

We’ve been here at No.8, Indhira Gandhi Street for quite a while now. It’s a busy little spot in Sast Shanmugapuram, and most people around here know where we are because of the big tree just down the road. Sree Venkateswara & Co. started out with just a couple of us trying to figure things out, and honestly, not much has changed in terms of how we run things. We show up early, open the shutters, and get to work. The building itself is nothing fancy, just a regular place where we keep our stuff and talk to people who drop by. Sometimes the traffic on the street gets a bit much, especially in the evenings when everyone is heading home, but you get used to the noise after a few weeks. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that. Most of our work comes from people just knowing we’re here or hearing about us from a neighbor. It’s a bit dusty inside sometimes, and the shelves are a bit crowded, but we know where everything is. We spend a lot of time just keeping up with the daily tasks. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. My uncle used to say that as long as you’re honest with the people coming through the door, you’ll stay in business. So that’s what we try to do every day here in Shanmugapuram. It’s just us, doing our thing at the same old address.
