You can find us on Mamballapattu Main Road in the Kanai area. Our shop is where we do all our offset printing work. The main thing you notice when you walk in is the size of the printing machines. They take up almost the entire floor. They are big, heavy, and make a lot of noise when they are running at full speed. Stacks of paper are everywhere—some blank and some with fresh ink that needs to dry before we can move them. The air has a specific scent of chemicals and paper dust that you get used to after a few days of working here. We are right on the main road, so it’s easy for trucks to pull up and drop off supplies. Kanai is a decent place to work, though we are mostly focused on the machines. We spend hours checking the ink levels and making sure the paper is feeding through correctly. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend half the day fixing a small part. It’s physical work, and our clothes often end up with a few ink stains by the end of the shift. We have a small wooden desk near the front where we keep our records and talk to anyone who stops by. It’s a simple, hardworking environment where the main goal is just to keep the printers moving and the paper flowing all day long until the job is done.
