Senior Engineer

Panruti is a small place but it keeps me busy enough. I’m known as the Senior Engineer around here. I don’t have a long complicated address to give people; everyone just knows where to find the engineering office in town. It’s a bit different from the big cities like Chennai or Bangalore. Here, things are more personal. You know your neighbors and you know the people you work for. I spend a lot of my time dealing with the everyday problems that pop up in a town like this. Engineering isn't always about big bridges or skyscrapers; sometimes it’s just about making sure things are built to last in our local environment. The heat can be tough during the summer, but we all just get through it. I’ve been doing this for many years now, and I’ve seen the town grow little by little. My office is just a simple room with enough space for my table and chairs. I don't have a team of people doing the talking for me. If someone wants to discuss a project, they come and sit down and we talk it out. I prefer it that way. No need for fancy presentations or complicated contracts that nobody understands. I just try to be useful and use my experience to help out where I can. It’s a simple life in Panruti, but the work is honest and it keeps me going day after day.
