Kayaka Bandhu Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at #304 in U. Kallahalli. We are right in the Chatnihalli area, which is part of Harapanahalli. It’s a local operation, mostly just the farmers from around these parts getting together. We started this because it felt like the right thing to do for the community here. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place where we can store some stuff and meet up. Usually, you’ll find a few of us sitting around talking about the soil or the price of fertilizer. It’s a lot of talk and a lot of heavy lifting. We don’t have fancy signs or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’re likely to just see one of us looking over a ledger or talking on a mobile phone. We deal with the same problems every other farmer deals with. Sometimes the crop is good, sometimes it isn't. Being in Harapanahalli means we are far from the big cities, so we have to rely on each other. We’ve got a lot of members now, and keeping everyone on the same page is a job in itself. We don't use big words or try to act like we know more than we do. We just know the land here and what it takes to grow things. It’s a simple life, but it keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset every single day of the year.
