Over in Madalageri, at number 29, is where we set up Harapanahalli Seva Banjara Farmer Producer Company Limited. We are right in the Davanagere area, and most of us here come from the local farming community. We started this because we wanted a place where the Banjara farmers could handle their own affairs without having to travel too far. The office is a simple one, nothing like those big glass buildings you see in the city. We have a few tables and some old chairs where people sit and talk about their seeds and their harvests. It is a bit loud sometimes when everyone is talking at once, but it is a good kind of noise. We don't have any fancy marketing people or bosses in suits. We are just farmers who know what it is like to work in the dirt all day. Madalageri is a good spot for us because it is close to where most of our members live. We see each other at the market or at local events, so having this office at No. 29 just feels like an extension of our daily lives. We keep track of the accounts and help each other out with whatever comes up, whether it is a problem with the soil or just needing a hand with the paperwork. It is just simple, local business done by people who live right here. We don't need much more than that to keep ourselves occupied throughout the year.
