Vijay Laxmi Fancy & General Store

Our shop is inside the K B N Complex on Pulipativari Street in Vijayawada. It is a place where we sell both fancy items and general things that people need for their houses. You can find bangles, hair clips, and small gifts alongside stuff like soap or toothbrushes. Vijayawada can get incredibly hot during the summer months so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can for the customers. Pulipativari Street is usually quite crowded with shoppers and we get a lot of people who are just browsing through the complex. We have been here for some time now and we have learned what the local ladies like to buy for their families. It is not a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that, just an honest shop with rows of glass cases. We spend a lot of time organizing the small items so they look neat on the shelves. Sometimes we get new stock in and it takes all day to put it away. We don't use any big words to describe what we do, we just open the shop and help the people who walk in. It is a lot of standing and talking but that is part of the job. Most of our customers are from the neighborhood and they come back because they know where everything is kept. It is just a regular business in a busy part of town and we like the routine of it all.
