Venkateswara Fancy & General Stores

We've been here at Door No 5-6-38 on K T Road for quite some time now. This part of Vijayawada, Chittinagar, gets pretty busy, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading to work or school. Our shop, Venkateswara Fancy & General Stores, isn't very large, but we try to keep it organized with all those small things people need throughout the day. You’ll find things like bangles, hair clips, and small gift items tucked into the shelves. Sometimes it feels like we are constantly dusting the glass cases because the road outside stays dusty from all the traffic. We open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Most of the people who stop by are neighbors we’ve known for years. They come in for a quick packet of something or just to see what’s new on the racks. It’s a simple life here in the shop. We don’t have fancy displays, just rows of boxes and hangers. Sometimes we run out of specific colors or sizes, but we usually get more in within a week or so. It’s mostly just me or one of my family members behind the counter. We know which shelf has the safety pins and which one has the notebook paper without even looking most days. It’s a bit crowded inside when more than three people enter at once, but we manage just fine.
