Venkateswara Cool Drinks

Venkateswara Cool Drinks is situated in Satyanarayanpuram, right in the Gandhi Nagar area. You can find us near the Shivaji Cafe Center. That cafe is a local landmark, so it’s easy to tell people where we are. Satyanarayanpuram is a nice neighborhood with a lot of regular foot traffic. We sell various types of cool drinks. Most of our customers come over after they have had a meal at the cafe or while they are just walking through Gandhi Nagar. We have a couple of refrigerators that stay running day and night to keep everything at the right temperature. The shop is small and has a simple layout. We have some empty crates stacked out back and a small counter where we serve. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We see the same faces every day, which is nice. Sometimes in the evenings, people gather around to talk while they drink their sodas. We don't have any promotional posters or flashy lights. It is just a regular cool drink shop like any other in the city. We focus on keeping the bottles cold and the counter clean. The breeze usually comes through the front door in the late afternoon, which makes it a pleasant place to sit for a bit between customers. It’s a steady business and we are happy to be part of the local community. We usually close up around nine at night once the street starts to get quiet. The work is not complicated, but it keeps us on our feet throughout the day.
