V P S Public School is located right in the middle of Mogalrajapuram. It’s a straightforward kind of place. We don’t have a massive campus with dozens of buildings, so everything is pretty close together. This makes it easy to keep an eye on what’s going on during the day. We have the local kids from the neighborhood coming in every morning, mostly on foot or by cycle. The classrooms are filled with the usual desks and chairs, and we try to keep the chalkboards clean for the next teacher to use. Our staff is small, so we all end up doing a bit of everything, whether it’s teaching math or helping out when someone scrapes a knee during the lunch break. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don’t have a big corporate office or a marketing team. If something breaks, like a fan or a window latch, we fix it ourselves or call a local guy from down the street to come take a look. We follow the standard curriculum, making sure the kids are ready for their board exams when the time comes. It’s hard work, and the days can be long and tiring, especially when the weather is hot and the power goes out. But we’ve built a decent little community here in Mogalrajapuram. People know us, and we know them. It’s just a regular school doing its part for the local families. We keep the gates open and the lessons moving.
