Cute Ducklings Public School

Our school is tucked away on Pappula Mill Road in the Ashok Nagar area of Vijayawada. It’s a lively little place, which is expected given the name. We occupy the building at Door No 23-32-33. It’s a busy street with people going about their business at the mills nearby, so there’s always a hum of activity outside. Inside, we’ve tried to make things a bit more cheerful for the younger children. The walls have some hand-painted drawings that have faded a bit over time. We have small chairs and low tables because our students are just little ones. In the morning, you can hear the sound of rhymes being sung and the general chaos of kids playing. The teachers are always busy keeping everyone in line and making sure nobody scrapes a knee. The floor is tiled and we try to keep it clean, though there’s usually some crayon marks or bits of paper scattered about by the end of the day. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze when all the parents arrive in the afternoon to pick up their kids, with scooters lining the road. We don’t have a big fancy lobby or anything; you just walk right into the main area. It’s a local school for local families, and we’ve been part of this Ashok Nagar neighborhood for some time now. It’s a lot of work, but it’s what we do every day.
