The South Rosin & Tupentine

The South Rosin & Tupentine has been located on Gudivadavari Street in the One Town area for quite a long time. Our address is Dr.No.11-52-47, and it’s a place that smells very strongly of pine and chemicals. It’s the kind of smell that sticks to you, but after a few years, you don't even notice it anymore. We deal with rosin and turpentine, which means we spend a lot of time moving heavy drums and making sure everything is sealed up tight. It’s messy work, and our floors are often a bit sticky, but that’s just the nature of what we do. We aren't trying to be a high-tech company. We use old scales and write a lot of things down in physical books because it’s what we’re used to. One Town is a crowded place, and getting trucks in and out of Gudivadavari Street can be a real challenge sometimes. We’ve had to learn how to be patient with the traffic. We don't spend any time on marketing or trying to look bigger than we are. People who need what we have know where to find us. We just keep the gates open and the stock ready. It’s a simple business, really. We buy it, we store it, and we sell it to the people who need it for their own workshops or factories. It’s what we’ve always done, and it seems to work out okay.
