Taj Hotel

We've been here in Paliyur for a while now. Most people know Taj Hotel as that spot near Perugamni in Trichy where you can get a decent meal or stay over if you're traveling through. It’s not a fancy place with gold curtains, just a regular building where we try to keep things clean. My family helps out a lot. Some mornings are quiet, but then the lunch rush starts and it gets pretty loud in the kitchen. We see a lot of people coming from the city or just passing through the Trichy area. Sometimes the weather gets really hot here, so we try to keep the rooms cool enough for anyone stopping by. We handle the cooking ourselves mostly. The menu isn't huge, just what we know how to make well. People ask why we picked this spot in Perugamni, but it just made sense at the time since we live nearby. Life around the hotel is usually about making sure the water is running and the supplies come in on time. We've seen the road change over the years. It's a lot busier now than when we first opened the doors. We just do our thing every day, opening up early and closing down once the last guest is settled. Nothing too complicated about it. If you're looking for us, we are right there on the main stretch. It's just a simple place run by people who live right here in the community. You can usually find someone sitting out front on a stool when it's slow.
