Subramanyam General Store

Subramanyam General Store is a small business we run at Block No: 17 on Desi Land Road in the Singnagar area of Vijayawada. It’s a pretty standard local shop where we stock the items most families use every day. We have various types of dals, spices, and big containers of oil. The weather in Vijayawada gets really hot, so the afternoons are usually slow while everyone stays indoors. That is when I usually catch up on the bookkeeping or restock the shelves from the boxes in the back. Once the sun goes down, the street gets lively again and people start coming in for their evening groceries. We have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for years. They know where everything is, sometimes better than I do. We try to keep a bit of everything, like notebooks for students or small toys and batteries. The shop isn't very large, so things are tucked into every available corner. It’s just a normal way to earn a living, serving the people in the neighborhood. We don't have fancy displays or air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that’s seen better days. If you need something for your house, there’s a good chance we have it tucked away somewhere on a shelf. We just take it one day at a time here, making sure we have the essentials for anyone who stops by.
